Is anyone else hungry? Because I am starving. How can I not be craving food when I scroll through my Twitter timeline and see Tailpipes advertising their delicious burgers and shakes?
Tailpipes knows what they’re doing when it comes to social media. My last post talked a lot about companies not knowing what they’re doing, but I think Tailpipes is ahead of the crowd.
They have specials of the day, and like the social media entrepreneurs they are, they post them on Twitter – photos and descriptions.
Most restaurants have specials of the day, weather it’s a featured item or a happy hour drink special. The point of having these specials is to draw a crowd, but it doesn’t really work if they don’t know about them. Tailpipes makes sure everyone knows.
They’ve put in the time and effort to be able to ‘slack’ a little now. They can post photos of their items without even telling us what they are and we’ll already know because they’ve done so great advertising in the past.
I can read a quote about a polar bear and still know this is their Fruity Pebbles shake (my favorite).
This is just a shout out to Tailpipes for all the good work they have done and will continue to do in the likes of social media marketing. Your ten thousand followers thank you.
